Princess Cruises plans a record ship deployment in Europe with six ships

Princess Cruises has also announced  its largest ever ship deployment in Europe for 2008. Previously US rival Royal Caribbean International in announced an increased deplyment in Europe.

Princess Cruises is to have six ships in Europe next summer, including both Sea Princess and Grand Princess both of which will operate out of Southampton giving a combined capacity of 4,550 beds.

Other Ships sailing in European waters include superliner Emerald Princess and sister ship Crown Princess, Royal Princess and Pacific Princess.

Sea Princess will feature a new schedule of Canada and New England cruises in autumn 2008, with a new route sailing between New York and Quebec, and a special cruise from Southampton to New York via Iceland and Greenland.

Princess Cruises claim they will provide more balcony cabins than any other major cruise line in the UK market.  A 12-night 'Fire & Ice' cruise on Grand Princess starts at only £1,089 per person. With all the competition in the European waters there are bound to be a few cruising deals and late offers as the competition for European cruises hots up.
