Thomson Holidays Lakes and Mountains 2007

The UK’s No.1 Lakes & Mountains holiday and travel company, Thomson, have launched their main edition of  summer 2007 brochure featuring over one humdred resorts in eleven countries and the travel market’s widest choice of hotels, B&B, self-catering properties as well as tours, fly drives, cruises and twin centre holidays.

The new country added for 2007 is Germany with Bad Reichenhall, a traditional alpine spa town near Berchtesgaden in Bavaria and Ruhpolding, surrounded by meadows with the backdrop of the Chiemgau Alps close to Chiemsee Lake. Both villages offer a wide range of activities to suit all tastes and walking in the surrounding meadows and mountains

The new resorts on Madeira are Santana and Prazeres.  For walkers, ramblers and hikers, Madeira is a paradise. The east of the island has the most extreme landscape with plunging green valleys and the west is more remote with wilder scenery.

Also new is the Danube Cruise, a week of exploration from Passau in Germany through Austria and Slovakia to Budapest in Hungary and back, along the delightful ‘blue’ Danube visiting Dürnstein, Vienna, Esztergom, Budapest, Bratislava, Melk and Grein.

To help make the holiday choice easier, Thomson has also introduced eight new flights from the most important regional airports to Munich (Germany) and to Malaga (Spain).
